DRW Birmingham Project Shortlisted for National Charity Award
We’re proud to share that our Birmingham-based work has been shortlisted for the 2025 Charity Times Awards in the “Community Impact – Children, Youth and Families” category.
This special recognition reflects the incredible journey we’ve been on with our local delivery partners, including Sport 4 Life UK, to provide life-changing support to young people who’ve been excluded or are at risk of permanent exclusion from mainstream education. Together, we’re creating safe and consistent spaces where they can build confidence and a sense of belonging.
Our Birmingham programme is a true example of partnership in action. By blending Dallaglio RugbyWorks’ long-term mentoring and employability-focused approach with Sport 4 Life’s strengths in sports-based personal development, we’ve been able to deliver tailored support that meets the real needs of the young people we serve.
From engaging weekly sessions to CV workshops, employer visits, and 1:1 mentoring, our team is committed to helping every young person feel seen, heard, and supported as they explore new futures for themselves.
“It means a great deal to have our work recognised, and we’re incredibly grateful to both National Grid and Localgiving for their support in helping us create brighter futures for young people.”
Brittany Lewis - DRW Programme Manager (Midlands & Wales)
This award shortlisting is a testament not only to the strength of the programme but to the resilience and potential of the young people we work with at its heart. We’re excited to continue growing our impact in Birmingham and beyond.
The awards ceremony will take place on the 25th September 2025 at the Awards Gala dinner, at the London Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square — wish us luck!
