Dallaglio RugbyWorks is an intensive, long-term skills development programme based on rugby, through which we aim to get teenagers outside of mainstream education into sustained education, employment or training.

On Thursday 27th June, students, teachers, supporters and partners from across the country came together for the annual Dallaglio RugbyWorks Awards, kindly hosted at the BT Centre Auditorium in London.

The Awards allows us to recognise and celebrate the successes of the students on the programme, the school staff members and partners who enable us to deliver RugbyWorks to over 500 young people in 70 Alternative Provision sites.

Winners were recognised by a number of special guests invited to present awards across ten categories. Sir Clive Woodward presented the Team Moment of the Year Award, which signified an outstanding moment in which a group of RugbyWorks young people united to perform and achieve together.

John McAvoy, former convicted criminal turned professional athlete, presented the Young Leader of the Year Award paired with an inspiring speech to students commending them for their dedication and hard work. New to the awards this year were the Resilience and Commitment and Newcomer of the Year Awards. Congratulations also goes to all the nominees. It was tough this year with over a 100 nominations sent in.

A truly inspiring evening, Dallaglio RugbyWorks are proud to bring another academic year to a close and celebrate the progress made across the country through this special event.
