Dallaglio RugbyWorks is an intensive, long-term skills development programme based on rugby, through which we aim to get teenagers outside of mainstream education into sustained education, employment or training.

Our Dallagio Cycle Slam headline partner ‘tappit’ is supporting one of our schools on RugbyWorks, New Horizons in Warrington.

To launch this partnership on 25th April 2018, top goal scorer’s Jermaine Beckford joined Danny Mayor, our coaches from RugbyWorks and tappit CEO Jason Thomas at Bury’s Carrington training ground to run a special sports session for our young people over at New Horizons.

This included touch rugby and some football. All the young people got involved and overall a great experience for our young people on the programme, and a great way to kick-start tappit's partnership with RugbyWorks and New Horizons school.

Jason Thomas, CEO of tappit, explained:

“We’re grateful to the coaches and players from Dallaglio RugbyWorks and Bury FC for their time supporting the local community. Everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy memorable experiences and build valuable life skills, so we’re pleased to support these ongoing efforts to help improve the lives of young people in the North West.”

Such great support from tappit allows us to continue the invaluable work we are doing there for the next year.
