2016 Dallaglio Cycle Slam raises £800,000 and counting
On 17th June after 16 days in the saddle, 19 Core Riders rode into the Ibiza Velodrome to complete the 2016 Dallaglio Cycle Slam.
The journey began in San Sebastian in Northern Spain on 30th May as a record breaking 19 Core Riders were flanked by our Stage 1 cyclists on the journey through the Pyrenees to Andorra. The baton was passed to our Stage 2 cyclists who took the tour down the beautiful Mediterranean coast to Barcelona.
Mallorca tested the largest group in the event’s history leading our cyclists round the infamous training routes of the professional cycling teams before many of our 2016 cyclists regrouped for two days of tough cycling in Ibiza.
Over 2,000km after the first turn of the pedal, our Dallaglio Cycle Slammers have raised a staggering £800,000 for the Dallaglio Foundation and RugbyWorks. Our RugbyWorks students have come together to show their appreciation for the valiant efforts of our Slammers: RugbyWorks Thank You
